✨ LESBIANS ON TOP – ROGUE & JESS ✨
This photo series is dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the stories of inspiring lesbians in Chicago and beyond. Through powerful portraits and personal narratives, Lesbians on Top seeks to authentically capture the diverse, vibrant voices that make up our community.
I had the honor of photographing one of the most creative, talented and most of all, kind, couples New York City and Chicago have ever known! Rogue (they/she) and Jess (she/her) currently reside in NYC and have deep roots in the Chicagoland area through the comedy, acting, and styling scenes.
Jess is currently killing it in the NYC styling scene, working with photographers and models while also tapping into the theater world. Jess has completed a plethora of costume design and styling work. You can see some custom ties that Jess and Rogue made specifically for this shoot featured in the photos. A glimpse into the magical brain of Jess and her styling artistry.
Rogue is a comedian, actor, and entertainer. Last year, they premiered their comedy special, Going Rogue, which sold out! They also recently starred in a Chicago short film, BEST IN THE WORLD (written by @syddddddd & directed by @melanie__field). Rogue continues to bring boldness and queerness into everything they do.
Together, Rogue and Jess are a dynamite creative team while also radiating such loving and kind energy. I’m incredibly grateful to have been able to photograph them for this project.

This photo series is dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the stories of inspiring lesbians in Chicago. Through powerful portraits and personal narratives, Lesbians on Top seeks to authentically capture the diverse, vibrant voices that make up our community.
I had the absolute honor of meeting and photographing Haley (she/her/they; @jennyschecterstherapist). Haley is a mother, a friend, a (sex) therapist, and a curator of community. While photographing and talking with Haley, I was genuinely inspired to grow and deepen my own sense of community. They spoke about cultivating connection in such an empathetic and opportunistic way.
Haley currently has their hands in a multitude of projects, including using their hypnotherapy certification to help people process past traumas and challenge the ways those experiences shape how we see ourselves and how we show up. They are also in the process of creating a strap-on harness that can be more easily controlled by one’s own body.
I was so honored to share space with Haley and learn more about how they are choosing to grow every day.
